Deflects off his hand, not at all a deliberate knock on. He puts his hand up to stop the pass and he throws it anyway. Knock on or a penalty only for me.
That's a pretty good definition of a deliberate knock on TBH.

The only issue is that they call it "deliberate" not "unrealistic attempt to catch"

A knock on with one arm outstretched during a opposition pass has been judged a YC and a deliberate knock on for well over a decade.

Now that one much more harsh to call a deliberate knock on, as he's clearly trying to knock it back (but also deliberately swiping at the ball, and failing)...

From an offside position

Discipline when we’re under any attacking pressure is absolutely awful.

It’s an absolute DNA of this side under Borthwick and he’s on borrowed time if we lose tonight IMO.

Players are letting him down but there’s no way they’d get away with this in the NZ set up IMO- you either get a handle on it or you go.

Something fundamentally wrong with the preparation, mindset or structurally for this to keep happening.

Maybe I'm not being clear about what I think, when I say "to stop the pass" I mean he had his hands up already - like every player does to stop a pass overhead. Argentinian player then throws a risky pass anyway and it deflects.

Its like the yellow in the first half I suppose, letter of the law but not the spirit of the law.

So that’s now 12 yellow cards this year and how many penalties have we given away in this game now? 13?

Get that utter charlatan out of his ******* job.
