Australia in South Africa

Formidable total for the Aussies to chase in Port Elizabeth, Gibbs finally converting a score in this series with 110, De Villiers backed him up well with a serious partnership of 136, making 84 himself. Duminy at the death upped the rate scoring 40 off 25 balls.

318 to win for the Aussies.

Yip another great batting performance by the Protea boys.

SA should really be able to win this match and clinch the series today.

well they're going well in reply and apparently chased down a bigger total the last time they played here so not out of the question that it could happen again.

Australia are 101/0, Haddin and Clarke are going along nicely.

Parnell is taking a beating! 6 overs none for 41

Australia may have lost some wickets but it's still on for them to chase this down but they need a big partnership from Hussey and Ponting. Van der Merwe doing well to stem the tide of the Australian chase. Would be good if they could chase this down so we get the decider on Friday.

great start for the Aussies so far currently 121-0 with both Hadden and Clarke making their 50s. Is history going to repeat itself with another high scoring run chase at the Bullring.

both openers now gone in the space of a few overs, not the finest delivery to get rid of Clarke but he mistimed it to Duminy in the deep.

van der Merwe takes a big wicket considering how well Ferguson was going, should Ponting and Hussey hand around though Australia could be looking at a score of at least 375.

Australia may well not get near that 375, this does look like a quality batting track and to be only on course for low 320s may well not be enough. Great work though from Boucher to get rid of Dave Hussey.

De Villiers once again shows what a class fielder he is with the run out of Hopes, they're falling apart, will be lucky to even get to 300 at this rate.

time for Johnson to put together a decent ODI innings following his exploits at test level, how Australia desperately need that now or at the very least for him to hang around with Hussey.

that's great work from Duminy, it did look like his finger was under it so right call from the 3rd umpire. Johnson gone yet again not contributing at one day level, 246-7 now.

commentator's curse at its finest, SA haven't dropped a catch all day, next ball Steyn drops a relatively easy one.

good final partnership between Hussey and Hauritz to take Australia over 300 finishing on 303-7.

Seems daft to say that 303 may not be big enough to defend especially as the ball may do something under the lights but the groundsman did say that 350 looked to be a par score.

One thing's for sure the chase shouldn't be dull.

slightly harsh call on Gibbs there with the lbw clipping the top of leg according to hawkeye not often you see them given and as well as that you can't be 100% on whether Hawkeye is correct either.

so getting interesting now SA need 113 off 85 balls, Duminy going after one off Johnson which would have been given as a wide had he left it.

Boucher not quite getting enough on that one, big wicket for Australia considering how good a finisher Boucher has proved to be, up to Morkel and De Villiers to see if they can get SA home from here.
