If we would just retain that focus against a few other teams and maybe recruit some depth to handle the international windows there might be a faint hope of seeing a champions cup finish before 2020

Thoughts on Bristol
Tough loss, we paid the price for defensive lapses yet again, especially in the pick and go game, it was just too easy for Exeter to make ground in that phase of the game. I was unhappy with our tactical kicking gme, too frequent and too aimless, against sides with a great backline we will get punished for it.
But we are scoring tries, I'd be more worried if we were getting done with us only scoring penalties and DG's. The fact we can score will keep us in games and against the sides around us make us a legit threat. We aren't at full strength yet, we have Henson, Lemi, Woodward all to return/arrive to strengthen us and I dont think we're finishied signing players either.
Our scrum and maul was a big plus, that we can use as a weapon going forward.
Finally, with the start to the season we had was always likley. Not complaining, I'd rather this than playing Moseley, Plymouth etc again (with respect to them) but we have Saracens next and after that is the teams we need to start winning against to stay up.

If Roko isn't in England contention after the last 3 years I doubt anything else could change it TBH.
Commentators saying that Jones had told him to work on his defence. I don't see that as anything like a problem, Watson still gets in the side FFS, that can't be it
I know but it's insane he does stuff like that all the time. Has to be one the best players over that period who's barely in England contention. I'd rather Roko on the wing than Watson TBH

A stream of errors from Bath. Lazy running to get back onside, missed tackles, dire kicking by Ford and everyone just drifting across the field, now ****ing about in a scrum that isn't dominant. It is my pet hate not getting the ball out of a scrum that isn't dominant. Complete idiocy from Bath today...
