Aviva Premiership - Round 6

I think Matt tait is starting to look a little bit like a slim Andy Goode!

What a dull game this is

Innit just?

I've never seen Quins' skill so bad.

Only good thing to mention really is that George Lowe managed 40 minutes without dying.

Missing a great one in Top 14!!!!

Started watching that, started a little slow, decided to concentrate on just the Premiership game... mistake!

Williamssssssss jdgsjaknanbdbma

:mad::mad::mad:

Williams took a heavy knock the play before and I don't think was 100% there.

To all those saying awful game who cares Crap conditions but My tigers started to move forward.

Thorn, Gibson, Scully and Kitchener stepped up the intensity. Scully would be an amazing moody type Flanker if he was bigger.

And Ayerza showing how important he is to us looked pumped and angry.

Add in Mulipola, Cole and Allen and were back.

Quins really need to sort their pack out. They need to change their second row pairing somehow.

1 brute and then Mathews or robson. Together the pack lacks punch

Wasn't just crap conditions tbf but I doubt either team will care.

Thought Ayerza struggled with Collier a bit. Gibson should have been man of the match, pleased to see him fulfilling his potential.

Gah, spent the evening in a pub without TV trying to avoid the score and then, predictably, the moment I get home I see it on my twitter feed...

Sounds like a combination of Quins being both poor and, with our typical luck, Tigers have stepped up and remembered how to grind out a win in a scrappy game again just in time for our visit.

Take the point about our second row, really need some muscle there.

I'm going to try and watch the full game, but if I get twenty minutes in and start to weep at Quins' back of gain line crossing I may give up.

What second rows are available ? Launchbury might go back, but he doesn't really add the grunt. They should have tried to move heaven and Earth to get Wyn-Jones when the whole Welsh debacle was going on.

I'm sure there is a big lock somewhere in the championship or around the world.

He doesn't need to be exceptional - it's the type of player, not the quality that matters... think Molenaar.

I wouldn't bother Patchey. Not a game for the neutral in any shape, way or form.

edit: Big locks - Bradley Davies just moved this summer - there's your man - bang. Ditto Jim Hamilton (hardly a Quins player mind). Leicester snapped up Thorn...

Although I still reckon you guys are barking up the wrong tree. Quins' lack of precision and a prime Nick Evans were bigger issues tonight - not helped by Brown having a howler and no Care. Also, this Captain Marler thing is having a few teething issues... they probably could have used a big lock, but they'd still have a huge heap of problems

Our 10s are also deteoriating at a rate of knots.

Second row and go forward is an issue, but it doesn't matter if your 10s look so bad at the moment and only are going in one trajectory.

Also if that's the standard of Dave Ward's throwing, gods knows how he got anywhere nearly England.

Tom Youngs? To be honest I think Ward's throwing should just be thrown on top of the huge pile named "crap basic skills". 'Quins can then sort through it at their leisure.

Ben Youngs had a decent game. Thought I should mention that, since it's become such a rarity for the past four years...

Touche good sir

Anyone else remember when Quins had the best basic skills in the Premiership? Seems so long ago now...

Stahp, please, don't twist the knife!

Re: Ward, he threw much better last season but I remember there was talk among Quins fans that the reason he didn't make the test team in NZ and Joe Grey did was because his throwing had collapsed. Appears to be true!

Still haven't watched the game...
