Best Barbarians squad in memory?

And they are basically going to be playing the equivalent of a mid-table premiership team that have never played with each other before!

Try-time.

England's summer fixtures seem to have been organized by a complete dullard.

I mention in the other thread, the England tour has been planned since 2010, the IRB changed the window in 2012 and NZ refused to honour the original agreement moving the test series forward under the new IRB window.

No doubt we have some numpties in the RFU but we seem to have really been stitched up this time out.

I'd go: Cowan, FTD, 11: Gear, 12: Gieteau, 13: Rougerie, 14: Ranger, 15: JOC
There doesn't seem to be a weak combination they could play and if they have a decent pack added to afoa and hayman than bloody hell we are in for an absoloute smashing.
so funny ! First comment made by an Englishman What's wrong, feel a bit threatened by that lineup there ?
Interesting first reply...
I don't think it's being scared it's more annoyance. I genuinely think if we had our first team even without the premiership finalist this would be an amazing game to watch. I also think it could have been a good world cup like test where you have no time to prepare and you have to play teams of genuine quality, players like Giteau, Ranger and Gear are world class players and it would be a real test of the ability of our players individually up against a team of all stars. If you look at the team I put up do you know any of the players I selected ? Haskell you may know and possibly Cipriani but the others are not starters or even benching for us and I find it so disappointing that we can't put out a good team because it's a game I would love to have seen. Also we won't have Watson, Daly, Mullan, Johnson and possibly sinkler:( so the term scratch team is probably fair

I am with TheSaffycen WRT the backline but with players like JOC, Giteau and Ranger you'll probably see them pay little heed to 'traditional' positioning and there will probably be more running from deep than kick returns.

Afoa, Hayman, Bonnaire and Armitage is a good start to the pack, wonder where they'll go from there..

Hopefully (and excuse my bias) 1,Steenkamp 2,Brits 3,Afoa, 4,Botha 5,Williams, 6,Louw 7,J Smith 8,Bonnaire Hayman, Armitage.. whoever, who cares about reserves other than coaches..

Pity it'll be against a non-representative (ITO ability) England side.

I know I know, it's just funny how this thread basically went like:
- so here's the Baabaas squad for this year...as you can see, they....
- UHM ENGLAND ARE FIELDING AN 8TH STRING TEAM !!!...

It doesn't matter who wins. It's a Baabaa game. And I'd rather the Baabaas have lots to show on paper because they always play like shhit as 95% of mercenary teams would. At least they've got those big individualities.

If England are THAT decimated because they're preparing the NZ trip then it might not be very entertaining. Hopefully they've got much more than what fans are anticipating here.
