Hi team,

To get back in shape I hit the gym 3-4 times a week. Doing 1 hour of cardio and 1 hour of exercises.
What would be the best options to burn a lot of calories and to loss some weight?
Running, rowing or biking? For the moment I combining two or three options but I'm keen on ditching 2,5 kg.

Cheers

Any combo of the three!
Rowing would be my preference - but that's only because I find it more enjoyable.

You'll find doing shorter interval based training is going to be more conducive to weight loss than spending an hour slogging it out though.

Doing something like 5x500m sprints on the rower is going to be much more efficient than going for a 10 mile run.

I prefer rowing, due to the lack of impact on the joints. However, make sure you're doing it right, and not just sitting upright using your arms.
Cross-trainers are also good (lack of impact again), but again it's very dependant on using the equipment correctly.
Biggest thing to remember is to make sure you eat, and eat the correct stuff to give you the energy to burn the fat. Too many people think they can just not eat anything and that'll help them lose weight. Whilst it will in a way, it's the wrong kind of weight loss.

High intensity interval training (H.I.I.T). Go to your local park and place three objects in the shape of a triangle with 20meters between each object. Sprint to a point, jog to the next and then sprint again, that will be one lap of the triangle. Do two laps in a set then have a 2min rest. Do 3 to 4 sets thats all. If you do that two to three times a week plus watch your diet the kgs will fall off. Theres many other methods of H.I.I.T but this ones great.

Cheers guys, just tried the HIIT run and I love it, I will combine it with other HIIT exercises.

You do realise people like him don't actually do crossfit WOD's, don't you?

Crossfit is a great past-time. It's not a very good way of achieving specific fitness goals.

If you have a specific goal - you train specifically for it.

some good effective suggestions, intervals, hill reps and fartleck are all effective.

For me, I simply aim to run/jog 10km minimum per week, often i push through to 15 or 20kms. I don't have a problem with weight though nor do I need to improve my speed, I simply do it for the enjoyment of putting some tunes on and running those distances.

I also run 3* 8 km or sometimes 10 km. but for the moment my weight is going up and down. I would like to drop that 2,5 kg. And keep my weight

He just said run, there are different types of methods when running. Then run the respondents have not been very specific with your answer.

He can 21 km and the results will be disastrous, he lose a lot of muscle mass.

You can customize your crossfit workout to your needs. Not All methods are equal

I was referring to Froning and the like... they don't do WOD's.

Crossfit is a hobby - not a training method.

Whats pron new form of viagra ?????????????????????,

no, it's a meticulously, ingeniously concocted anagram of the word "porn". It's near indecipherable, and thus a lot less offensive. And btw, I'm sorry but, that comma at the end of your comment is very, very offensive. Sorry to say it, but, goodness..

The word 'crossfit' is used simply as universal name for several military exercises, boxing exercises and other mixed disciplines. It's something that always existed, some years ago is called "crossfit" for marketing. But you can make a routine military and still call it crossfit. It's just an intense workout, which seeks to gain speed, power and stamina at the same time. Since the crossfit all it does is to mix different exercises from different disciplines, the name is just marketing. It's a way of say HIIT exercises too.

Cheers

There is nothing specifically military-related about crossfit. It's just randomly selected circuits.
The point is that Crossfit isn't really a good thing to recommend to someone that has specific fitness goals because it is inherently non-specific in it's focus.

Also, no it's not.
Crossfit is a specific branding/company, it's not a generic term.
