Very close finish, Cant. just managed to sneak the win.

Hopefully Wgtn win this week, strange that our best 10 Ruben Love is starting at fullback ? ...we somehow managed to butcher a 29 zip lead at halftime against Waikato to lose our last match

As usual Wgtn are struggling in the tight-five... astonished we didn't get a penalty try just before halftime, fortunately we scored a try in the corner shortly after... & they could've easily had 2 players yellow carded instead of just one in that period.

Morgan is playing ok at 10, but we need to put Ruben Love back at 1st-five, he's far more creative than Morgan.

i said you'll find there aren't many kiwis on here any more and even fewer that bother with domestic, i found another forum for more specific NZ rugby chat

Expected to see at least a couple of NZers post here other than you & I... will keep posting here though, have always really enjoyed our NPC rugby, we get a lot of exciting young talent coming through & the comp is played at a fast pace with plenty of skill shown.

What is the name of the NZ forum mate ? ...is it ' gpforums.co.nz ' it's a pretty good one, other than rugby has a lot of other sports too.

Another loss - ridiculous that the Wgtn coach played our best 10 at fullback against Hawkes Bay too... we were poor in the forwards, looks like it's going to be a real struggle for us to stay in the 1st division.

Anyone else going to post on this thread ?
Well I have to say I was glad you posted in this thread. Npc doesn't get much traction here, and unfortunately I haven't managed to follow it so far this year. I'm hoping that's going to change. I don't really have a particular affinity to any team, half support Manawatu and Wellington as two places I've lived, but I grew up in horowhenua who aren't in the comp. there's also a place in my heart for Otago who were the first team I ever supported. Apart from that I've always just enjoyed watching the comp, when I've managed to, because it's entertaining. I enjoyed bop, Hawkes bay, and north harbour last year.

who are the teams and or players to watch this year?

Glad you posted too mate - at least we have 3 NZers posting on this thread... maybe with you growing up in Horowhenua the Manawatu team sounds like the main team you could be supporting ?

Pretty hard to tell which players to look out for, as there's always a lot of promising talent coming through each season... not sure what's going to happen with the Auckland Jafa's, if they don't start playing some games soon they'll miss the rest of the comp.

Victory northland, good upset and in Rene rangers 100th. Did well to hold onto the game at the end, continued playing rugby.

So, bop was really good last year, especially at the end, and then they lose McMillan and aren't so good. Coincidence?
