Bradford youngster George Burgess will join brother Sam in Australia's National Rugby League after signing a two-year contract with South Sydney.

The teenage prop, 18, has not yet featured in Super League for Bradford, but has convinced the Bulls to release him from the final two years of his contract and will now link up with Sam at the Rabbitohs.

Burgess, whose twin brother Tom is to remain at Bradford, will play in the Under-20s Toyota Cup, but train full-time alongside the Rabbitohs first team squad, including their star new signing Greg Inglis.

Two down two to go,
If he's anything like Sam he'll be a top player

Not often you see teenagers poached from the SL academies for the NRL!

Got to be a boost for English RL, yes they lose a good youngster but being exposed to a better standard will mean he should become a better player.

Wonder how gutted his twin brother is that he didn't get picked…

just thinking that olyy.

it's damning for super league, but the nrl poaching our youngsters will be better for the English national side, at least for the short term. Just a shame they don't sign any backs - that's what we're short of.

It's only a matter of time before all three of them are there.
