Champions Cup 2019/2020: Pool 3

Cost of win for Ulster. Jack McGrath and Sam Carter are gonna need surgery. McGraths is a thumb but Carter is the shoulder. That's a few months. Lyttle and Rey also injured, albeit Rey in the AIL

Points of (my) interest:
Some real squad rotation there from Bath - hopefully with an eye on R&R, rather than a sign of giving up after last week's loss.
Louw and Watson back from RWC duty, allows a specialist FB.
Mind you, Louw at #8... and Stooke on the flank... Hope Zach's knee is okay!
Still no Cokanasiga lends credence to the theory that he was injured during RWC training (but not sent home, despite 4 other wings in the squad!)
WTF Quins? "Game Changers"?

In rugby league that's a try

Addison looks like he's lost two yards of pace, injuries must be catching up with him

Clermont are a joke,
Ulster tearing them apart without even really trying

Edit: God knows why they played, or even signed, Laidlaw. Difference between him and Parra was night and day.

Naming the vice captains is pretty bad, I didn't like it when Ireland started doing it in squad announcements but actually putting in on the teamsheet is the kind of nonsense that could only be overshadowed it they called their subs "game changers" or something cringy like that.

2 scrum pens against Bath's backup front row already. Bath look a bit disinterested. Could be a long night

Ref really struggling with the difference between a rip and a knock-on.

What a play by Rocco though! Especially for a reputed poor defender

Yeah that Watson one was ludicrous, literally punched out his arms with a massive windup.

I really hope Bath have given up on Europe. Otherwise everything I'm seeing is terrifying

Edit: apart from Roko making ***** soup out of Mike "lovely guy" Brown obviously

Watson's knee looks bad.

That's not a yellow though
It did, but he's walking, which is positive - though he should still be off for Rhys.

Agreed, no card there.

You just know that COML will be full of complaints about Louw not caring because he laughed at Marler's conning the ref.

The overall lesson from today though, is that our 4th choice THP isnt as good as Marler...
