Any predictions for the Cup, Bowl, and Plate finals?

Bowl- Russia v. Uruguay
Plate- France "A" v. USA
Cup- Canada v. England Saxons

In the Bowl, I think we are gonna be in for a tight one. Both teams will probably match up evenly in the forwards (maybe a slight Uruguay advantage for as long as Pablo Lemoine sticks around), but I think the Russians will have an advantage in the backs, especially at #9, 13, and 15. I expect a Russian win by 5-10 points

In the Plate, I think the Eagles are gonna be in tough. France should have the upper hand in all areas and will have learned from the Canada game not to take anyone lightly. I expect France to play the way they should have against Canada. France by 15-25 points

In the Cup, Canada will need a lot more of what got them past France "A", but a win is unlikely. My heart says Canada, but my head says England. I expect it to be close up until the 50 minute mark before the Saxons pull away to win by 10-15 points. Expect big time pressure on the Canadian scrum and maybe even a penalty try for the Saxons.

Hopefully I am wrong and the Canucks can ride the wave to victory! Should be a good saturday of rugby!

Agree with pretty much all you've said!
I'm hoping Canada/Saxons will be close, i like Canada a lot, i'm very glad they got to the finals, it's a pity they're against England otherwise i'd be routing for them :p

I'm with you about Canada. My family is also Scottish but I'm going to miss both matches. I'm disappointed I can't see them.

Is it me, or would our Saxons backline make a far better go of things against Auz than our 1st team???

Haha, i'm inclined to agree

They should have a Saxons vs England match

Swap Goode and Bendy for Foden and Ashton and you've more or less got a Northampton backline... So yes.

Except it could be the TRF allstars in the England back line and it wouldn't make a difference; None of them would ever see the ball unless an Australian is holding it under Johnsons game-plan.

And embarass Johnson by revealing how wrong he got it? Not a hope!

I'd rather have that backline tbh.

Only saw the last 30. The ref got in the way of potential scraps, a penalty kick to touch crossed the dead-ball line 10 metres in-field, and Varndell gifted Canada a try with a very weak chip.

I didn't see the final (congrats to England Saxons though) but did see quite a bit of the Uruguay v Russia game along with Russia's other outings. They've some very impressive players who wouldn't look out of place playing Heineken Cup rugby. Victor Gresev, Vasya Artemiev and Yuriy Kushnarev appear to be very talented and would really benefit from top level professional coaching.
