... probably more like "rugby 2005" with a 6

Don't be stupid Eric, even if you disagree with his comments, he still provided this forum with more info on rugby games than the rest of us combined. Mocking people who are kind and spend there time helping us is sure to lead to them not bothering any more.

locks deserves the upmost respect by all within the TRF

Mods - We gotto protect him, if this means banning more people, or deleting offending posts I am all for it

Mario can go

But if Locks goes, we have nothing

We gotto minimize the risk of losing him......

Well, as far as I'm concerned Locksley is a huge asset to this place. He's up there with Trev from Swordfish. One great with RC2006 info, the other seems to be the EA specialist.

Locks, has a way about his posts, which informs you and isn't full of vagaries and double-talk.

I'm sure he's got some good info. If he feels it's bad, he'll tell it like that. If he feels it's an improvement, he'll tell it that way.

Lookin' forward to hearing from him.

Locksley has been awesome in the time i've been following the board (before rugby 2004) but how come he can't just tell us his info now??

To be fair Rugby 2005 was a heck of alot better than Rugby 2004... but that's not really saying an awful lot, and Rugby 2005 still had a truck load of problems that seemed to come purely from laziness. Seriously, if HB produce another rugby game with a Lions tour mode that you can't play as the hosts I will personally organise a nuclear strike on the whole of Canada!

Damn straight. I've got some homies somewhere in the middle east (not too sure on their exact whereabouts) who can help us out.

...The balls in your court now HB. Don't disappoint.

Though you'd have to say that 95% of that improvement was due to "inheriting" the FIFA engine............

....now they are further "refining" that engine themselves, and their previous work ain't pretty.

The fact that they are saying its near complete and have only been working on this since around April 2005 (pretty sure I worked that off their official website), added to the fact they have 2-3 "other ***les" they are working on at present, doesn't fill me full of hope.

HB generally don't seem all that interested in fan feedback, so I'd say the game will basically be rugby 2005 with an "update patch".

Absolutely. I personally hope that HB go bankrupt if this game doesn't deal with ALL the major issues with 2005.

unfortunately i dont see them going bankrupt as anyone other than those of us who know the game will be crap will still go out and buy it and somehow it will be top of all the charts.

I still stick by essentially the same game, a poorly implemented offload system added, a couple of things ripped off the latest FIFA (maybe a realistic "Manager" mode), new soundtrack and updated teams/logos/comps etc (with again little effort made to study the players being depicted - however even HB studios will now know that Luke McAllister can kick better than 10-20% ability.............
<
)

Edit: Oh, and do look out for some of those problems from rugby 2005 remaining for rugby 2006............
