Comment On & Rate The Above Song

Didn't hear too much bass either, that's through an overly bassy 500W system incorporating 4x10" cans on a couple of biig floor standers. Does it sound ok for you Mite? Just wondering if the youtube compression is getting rid of the bass?

Anyway, a little too repetative for me Mite, those kinda constant beats always get on my nerves (reason why I prefer Drum n' Bass over house, trance etc.).
Can appreciate the mix though, and would love it in a club dancing away, as the tunes are legendary. So overall I'd give that a 7/10 (8 or 9/10 if I was in a club).

Another instrumental from me (posted this on the what are you listening to thread):

65daysofstatic - Radio Protector

obviously gotta love the trance mite.

dullonien, i'm gonna say 7/10. I love mogwai and other instrumental stuff, but I like to listen to it as an entire album, so this rating might go up if i listened to this band's lp.

haunting

9/10, High Contrast with another great remix. He really is the king of remixes imo.

Onto some Hip Hop.

Young Gunz - North Of Death (Hope the link works)

5/10. Fairly average hip hop, not as awful as some but not anything special imo.

hip hop instrumental i love it:

Cut Killer - Assassin De La Police

Got better as it went on, like the sampling of "Non je ne regrete rien" which works somewhat bizzarely. 6/10

(Not into "Township Funk" so its hard for me to rate it)

I remember watching this guy in the Olympia theatre in Dublin. My folks would bring me in to see him and Tommy Makem. This song always had me hypnotised. Powerful anti-war song. Its not his song but his was the best version I've ever heard.

He died this week. RIP.

Apart from the fact it's not an Australian song. "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" is possibly one of the best folk songs there is, and that is a wonderful version.

9/10

Quite enjoyed that. Wasn't hugely keen on the electronic voice (never been a fan of such stuff), but the rest was good, with a good bassline. 7/10.

Onto seom Rock/Metal and the classic SOAD - Chop Suey

4/10. Not my type at all.

Okay, this tune is a bit special for all the politics and history involved, but somehow it awlays gives me goosebumps. I guess the melody, passion and everything.

Politics aside, I think it's a great song. Mite, you don't have to like it. ;)

guessing you're not a fan of wobbling basslines then?

enter shikari sounds familiar, and it sounds like scouting for girls gone emo. also i feel the ***le is too true for me atm. 4/10.

maybe this can help me chill

Yes, one of those songs that gives you plenty of time to ... wonder why you're not really listening to it. 4/10.

Welsh warbler with adenoids hits it out of the park. Apparently she writes this stuff herself with two producers. Good on her.

4/10. Not a fan of Duffy nor of the white soul genre in general.

haven't listened to this in a while but it's beautiful
