7/10

Kinda song you listen to when you wanna freak out by your ace on a Thursday.

Here's a down right funny song:
The Streets - The Irony Of It All

Wasn't expecting rap from a dude with a Spanish name, but saaaaaf Lundun is THE accent.

Innocent love song. Is it his mama, his girl, his baby?

Kind of long, but if you're a bit "tweaked" that does the job nicely.

Here's something different - teenage angst from 1982, with heavy metowal humour (amazed I never heard it until last week): Suicidal Tendencies present ... Institutionalized (3:44). Wait for the last line.

storytime, kids:
The Velvet Underground - The Gift

<div class='quotemain'> i want to kwon what do you think of vincent clerc?

for me i think it is a great player the best winger of the french [/b]
He had his own thread a couple of months ago. Then everyone started talking about Shane Williams.

If you don't win, you lose.

Disgraceful that Clerc comes on to TRF after the 6N to blow his own trumpet.

I'm no expert in this genre so 5/10....I listened to the whole thing though its definantly something I've never heard before. Sounds like something you'd play while your on a paranoia buzz.

Pharcyde - Running Away

That Velvet Underground song was awesome! I love them, Lou Reed kicked ass with them also.

The above song, I'll say 5/10. I like the beat and all, but I'm not a huge rap fan. Most rap songs have awesome beats, but it's the rapping itself which usually let's it down for me.

David Bowie - Space Oddity;

Yes, I know he looks a tad queer, but he's a f***ing legend.

imo - space oddity is overrated. bowie has more than just space oddity and ziggy stardust - such as reble reble etc. good song though, 5/10 - this is major jones to ground controll...

one of my all time favs - if you ever hear a cover band play this song, the bass is godlike.
spencer davis group - gimme some lovin.

Space Oddity is all pose, no idea what it's about. Lost faith in Bowie when he converted his brand in to credit cards about ten years ago. But the song reminds me of good times - 7/10.

Almost perfick - 9.5/10. Tis only rock and/or roll.

Something from the same era. How fcukin strong is Neil Young's stage presence, even with the creaky voice? Better than Jonny Cash. Beautiful song (4:32):

Ghetto - Top 3 Selected (Remix)

Choose your top 3 selected verses. Order: Kano; Devlin; Wretch 32; Scorcher; Dirty Goodz; Ghetto.

Pretty grimey, beat was a bit too erratic for me. Don't know who any of those guys are lol. Are they all part of that London underground scene? 5/10.

T-Rex - Bang a gong (Get it on);

yeah, grime. Kano's quite famous, the rest aren't really outside of the scene.

T-Rex 8/10, sick song. I go past where marc bolan died quite often...

Manu Chao - Bongo Bong

hhmmm
Ok I actually like 1 or 2 songs from Manu chao, but this just didn't get me going at all.
best I could describe that song is -relaxed-
5/10

Fear Factory - Resurrection
There is a music video on Youtube, but they cut and chopped the song which just kills it

Anyhew, um...My go

Ah, the end of Ireland's european dominance. How we mocked! And now we wish we could have it all back again.

The sax solo is in there so I'll dock half a point - 9.5.

Best getting stoned song ever? Cheeba cheeba. No vid available, but 6 mins of brilliance.
