Could two different All-Blacks reach the semi-finals?

Boom!...drop the mic

(i would have found room for Dixon, Osbourne, Manu, Hohneck et al )

The only squad you'll find room for Patrick Osborne in, is the Fijian one. He's played Sevens for Fiji, and hasn't done the Nanai-Williams thing to make him eligible for another country.

I hadn't heard that before, he was called into to train with the AB's last year though

Kevy, SBW and Messam are still better than 95% of any other teams players. "Shakey" for AB standard.

Keaven is too old ATM and SBW has had a bad year at Super Rugby. You also haven't a genuine replacement for Conrad. Fekitoa, Crotty, SBW none is a genuine replacement for Conrad, different kinds of players

Ok, fair enough ... Only going by the media articles I've read (which isn't always the best idea, I know) ... The article I read was that he'd played sevens for Fiji, and didn't want to be considered for the fifteens squad because it would jeopardise his super rugby ... I'll see if I can source the article (Happy to be wrong though)

I concede Jabby :) ... I retread some articles, and it says that Osborne was in the Fiji Sevens squad, but that doesn't mean he played. Both Osborne and Tamanivalu are in the NZ BaaBaas squad too aren't they, so it's hard to see their inclusions in that team if they aren't All Black eligible

Yep, Keven needs to be managed to prevent injury; I still see him as a viable option for the bench, or even starting the occasional game ( just not all of them in the RWC), I'll be interested to see if Cody Taylor can make an impact off the bench.

C.Smith along with A.Smith are among the most difficult players to replace at the moment, because of the skills they bring to the side (particularly the organizational skills Conrad brings to the back line). It's important that those players don't try to play like Conrad, but I think Crotty is the most organized out of all of them.

If SBW and Nonu can make a good showing, then it could mean that they only take three specialist midfielders to the RWC.

Fekitoa may not be a replacement for smith but more often than not the replacement for a player isn't like for like, the team and game plan evolves to make the most of this new talent

Being different isn't a reason not to play them

True, but it could be argued that Fekitoa's skill set/style of play is too similar to Nonu's, and therefore doesn't fit quite as well as Nonu/Smith, or anyone/smith for that matter

Even the Pumas could beat that team. Not to mention Boks or Wobs

Bloody hell I thought the England thread was arrogant

Firstly, Maverick, yes the English threads are arrogant :)

Secondly, you do realize that the original poster/scribe is French?

Thirdly, you're not accusing the French of being arrogant are you?

Sacré bleu!

He also said the Highlanders and a straight quote here

That was because of the tiny Julian, he usually doesn't miss an occasion like this:

Great conversationalist...by the way, my dad could beat up your dad etc

The Wallabies dominated to the starting All Blacks team in Brisbane last year and lost by a point. Also the starting ABs XV couldn't beat the Wallabies at Sydney last year. So Aussies can beat easily New Zealand A or something like that.

and the highlanders dominated a mostly Wallabies forward pack in the playoffs
