Yet another one of the Munster old guard hanging up their boots. A shame his career had to be cut short, but he's had a very tough 18 months. His try against England in Twickenham will live long in the memory.

From 2006 to 2009 he was an excellent player who benefitted massively from Eddie O'Sullivan converting him to no.8. Since then injuries and poor discipline have marred his career but his service to Munster and Irish rugby shouldn't be forgotten. Hopefully he'll stay in rugby in some capacity, perhaps as a coach.
