With Farrell as of right now its a clear no. In 6 months time if he gets his form back I don't hate him being 4th choice, I know thats gonna be wildly unpopular here. I only say this because imo the after the 2x Smiths and Ford are out is pretty big drop to the next guy, personally Im not that convinced by Atkinson. Let me preface by saying if everyone is fit he should never play for England again even if he gets in to good form and 2 of those 3 goes down maybe he can be an option.

My worry is he gets back in at 12 to further stymie our midfield and starve the outside backs of ball again. Freeman won't be scoring in all 5 games of the 6n again.

Yeah and when we have a few bright hopes like Woodward, Masai White, Atkinson etc its a massive step back to bring him in.

I'd be amazed to see him in an Eng shirt again (bar a possible emergency call up if Ford goes down over the summer). But even if he does he's not really an option at 12 now and any appearance there would be a totally damning indictment on Dingwall and the other candidates.

It's Borthwick that worries me. OF already has 50 caps more than his performances deserved (admittedly because we haven't been able to produce 12s since 2003 - Shontayne Hape anyone?) and if he suddenly decides one of those 'intangible qualities' is needed then...

For me i don't care or Faz comes back in as Atkinson is not one for the future, never will be at the level to compete and is just Meh.

For me either we go Faz for experience as we need wins this summer or we go behind Argentina in the WC draw which could be bad. Or we bring someone young who is a prospect.

Ford is our 10 until the Smith's are back. What Faz does not do is solve or even cover 12, that would be devastating and detrimental to progression of our squad(and the fans mental health!). We need to sort our centres so I don't care if Faz is at 22 or Slade or another Centre.

In summery 10 is not a problem position so bring Faz in fine as long as he is in no way a 12 or taking the squad place of a 12.

And if I ever see Ford Faz Slade I'm turning it off and putting Tractor Ted on for my Toddler!
