It's makes me really happy but also kinda sad how well Manu is doing in France

England really needed to give him a full season to just play at club level not not rush him to international level

Also got to raise a question on how England look after players, the amount of England internationals who get injured is insane and can you trust them with central contracts? The curry situation being a perfect recent example

I'm fully on board with England are stupid at managing player welfare and long term fitness.

It kinda weirds me out. Jones seemed to be a little bit psychopathic, like the CEO of a large company, but most of the players that he's coached have nothing bad to say about him.

As a fan he should have moved on after 2019 - the results speak for themselves - and giving out weird caps like Lewis Ludlow (!) while ignoring other players just highlighted his stubbornness. Peculiar time to be an England fan, and not a nice type of peculiar.
From the end of 2020 up until around halfway through the 2024 Six Nations was a truly crap time to be an England fan and Jones was a massive part of that. Even though he left at the end of 2022 it seemed to take the team a good 18 months to finally shake off the Jones effect.

Less to do with shaking Jones effect off and more Borthwick not having a clue on all round rugby

Looks like Twickenham closing and a new stadium being built in the midlands is a step closer to happening.

Well if that's true, it's the day I give up on Rugby
Why is that?

Weirdly, twickenham is my favourite stadium as well as despising it at the same time. I love it for its history and grandeur, hate it as it's not suitable for modern times.

The seats are crammed together with no leg room, the facilities are sub par and getting to and from the place is a logistical nightmare.

I'd be in favour of a new stadium. Preferably where twickenham stands but I suspect the land is worth a lot of money.

Edit: no idea where Mike has got this information from because there is nothing on the World Wide Web reflecting the comment

My issue is if it's costing massive amounts of money to run and they can't use it for other profitable events like concerts because of locals then I'd rather them move than keep wasting money that could be invested in grassroots and club level.

Why do you say that? No links to post this time?
The articles about the new license for the stadium still only allowing 3 concerts a year and only 1 not on Saturday. The RFU has said if they can't expand it's concert use they might sell up and move to an area that will allow it to fully maxmimse the income,

So nothing has changed since earlier in the year when they said they would be staying put

Recent article 6th Oct on the 650mil upgrade and hopes of increased concert use. Nimby's gonna Nimby.

It's a stadium, you live near a stadium....then complain that the stadium is putting on events.

I'm not saying they're cant have complaints. But the stadium isn't new, it isn't like theyve just popped it up over the off season. There has to he a point when they just have to do it. It is hurting the sport not being able to use a 82,000 seat stadium for more than a few rugby matches per year is rediculous IMO.

Sales attack has been pants and Ford just kicks kicks and kicks some more. Not seen anything to say he's above Fin nor Marcus.

I would take him as 3rd choice 10 TBH, his experience alone is massive.
Yeah as a reserve he's good but I can't see any reason we'd want to waste starting or even bench caps on him. I used to be a massive Ford fan but huge chunks of his instinctive game seem to have been kicked out of him, and I think Jones is in no small part to blame for that.
