Real shame, I hope they run with carpenter for the whole tour, I think steward is a fine player, excelent in the right system, and you can build a system to hide his limitations, but furbank is the number 1 and in this defensive scheme steward's physical limitations just make him a net negative. I think he has the tools to be an excelent 12 at international level but no chance leicster convert him.

Definitely. He's far from the first player to make some mistakes on debut, and if you net that off against the good things he did in that match he comes out neutral at least

Rehab alongside B Curry (Back fit now), Dingwall and Randall. Batley, Lawrence, Lozowski, Martin and Sleightholme were those listed as nor available,

I know there’s a bit of pessimism around tour results and there should be - Arg are good and we’re away with a weakened team.

But you learn more about players in adversity - thrive in that situation and it says quite a lot.
