would like to know other peoples ideas on who should be playing twelve for england!

Hape just doesn't cut it and flutey is off form. plus why cant we find a english twelve to play there for once!

From the WC squad named it should be Flutey (who has actually been on decent form recently, I thought - his injury strewn time in France was poor, and his performances for England during that period too, but seems to have picked up since he moved back to Wasps)

In general, one of Allen, Waldouck, Barritt or even Twelvetrees

Why are you limiting this to inside centre? When your outside centre is Tindall the way he is now you have problems.

it's interesting to hear that Flutey could be returning to form if your right, he was poor in the 2010 6 nations and I haven't really seen him play since to be honest, the media haven't really mentioned him that much and seem to prefer Leicester's two centres to be England's inside centre. (I know the media often chat sh*t but I don't watch the Aviva Premiership so all I can go on is what I read)

but Flutey at his best is the kind of player England need at the minute, something different to the battery of bomfers they have

I think Manu Tuilagi although he's still very young and raw, he is far better already than Mike Tindall ever was or ever can hope to be, so if I was Johnson I would select Tuilagi plus Flutey if he's back to his best

although my one concern with Tuilagi is that the media will build him up to the extent that anything but a world beating performance every match is a failure (like they did with Wilkinson's returns from injury) and I don't know whether at his age he could handle mentally being built up so much just to be put down

Put Banahan at 12, and just get him to run a bunch of hard lines into every 10 they face.

Yeah, the 2010 Six Nations coincided with Fluteys time in France - During his time in France I think he played more matches for England than for his club
He was injured at the end of the lions, and never really recovered - He went straight from injury into the Six Nations with very little game time under his belt, and just didn't look good at all

I think he's done well for Wasps at 12 and even at 10 this season, and is a damn sight better than Hape and Banahan, even on an off day

Agree about Tuilagi - though I don't think the media would get to him when they inevitable start the hype machine around the time of the warmups

Would love to see 12. Flutey, 13. Tuilagi for at least one of the warmups, just so they have a chance to impress (though I did see at Pennyhill that Flutey/Tuilagi train at 12/13 in the training matches vs Hape/Tindall, so I imagine they already schooling the two of them in the camp  )

Was a bit of a joke about Banahan. Other than the fact that Cooper would poop him self every time he would have to stop that guy.

shove wilko in there , he offers a big boot and experience to the side while you still keep the playmaking ability of Flood in ten. Also its better that he starts so if he starts and gets injured you can replace him , instead of when he replaces Flood then gets injured and england having no replacement :)

If everyone is fit Flutey and Tuilagi would be a very exciting prospect. As has been mentioned before in this thread they should at least be given an opportunity in the warm-ups before we can judge and decide that they should be the starting partnership.

However, since Tindall is national captain and Johnson is not one to experiment he will no doubt start the WC at 13, unless he's injured or the england management see sense.

On another note, very happy simpson-daniel is in the extended squad and really hope he goes to the world cup (even as a proud welshman)

Maybe Tindall could move to 12 with Tuilagi outside him

Would never happen, but would be better than Hape or Banahan

I too am very happy to see JSD involved

Definitely not tindall he can't pass for his life and has no creativity. Banahan could be useful but is inexperienced. Hape is s**t. Flutey is off form. Take brad barritt instead with wilko and banahan on bench to cover nearly all positions.

Banahan has no right being anywhere near the WC squad!

James Simpson-Daniel covers the same positions as Bananaman, but is good!

That said, Banahan will be involved in every match, and probably start a fair few

Makes me sick, it does
