Don't derail another thread with that ****
Haven't they also got a few RB facilities in Newcastle already? Hence wanting them, not say Bristol or Gloucester?Excited
Thank god they are planning to keep in Newcastle the red bull branding would be a great pull for students and younger people

It never made much sense to me, that they'd say "we want Newcastle due to our existing links to the area" and the move to Darlington
Their drinks' sales in the region would probably cover the entire costs of running the club each seasonIt's probably not a coincidence that from the start of the season just gone Red Bull were the official drinks partners of Newcastle United
I still think they are part of this as they have been playing their Women's football games at KP and it's widely known they wanted to play some of their youth team games there aswell.
To be fair between those two running the falcons, it isn't exactly going to be a costly exercise...
Your spot on. But we've had Seymore a fan bankrolling us for years now and he just can't give us anymore. He's been amazing. It's great news that the Falcons look to have had their future secured and are likely to become competitive.
But big business isn't a charity. They will do what they want, how they want, when they want. If they decide to spit you out they won't blink. Enjoy the ride, but this isn't local businessman made good, it's a purely commercial transaction.
Vodka intakeSo Red Bull owns all of Newcastle falcons and a share of Leeds united?
Is there something about the northeast that is attractive to Red Bull?
Official end to promotion and relegation?
Missed that bit - time to pick a T14 team then.
ETA: Or is that you're assumption?
Way to ruin the big dayThat's what's being reported in the Times. Likely to be formally announced imminently, maybe even at the final.
Likely to trial Thursday matches. And have an orange logo to signify "intensity".
And while totally minor points the Prem and the Champ naming just sound incredibly naff to me, but apparently they want to reflect how people speak.
Massive area to try to market to as well with the nearest club being Sale. No idea what the transport links are like but if they can get Sheffield, Leeds, etc interested and invested they could really build somethingI mean Gloucester imo is always a small market
Bristol would prob require more money and dont own the ground
In terms of potential Newcastle has such a big young market to try and tap
I wonder how many teams will be promoted.. Worcester, Ealing?
