So the whole RFU/Victoria cross debacle got me thinking, can we as fans possibly design better kits than those working in the design departments for the likes of Adidas, Canterbury or BLK?

I purchased some Kit Creation software online today, and seeing as the World Cup is now just less than a year away, thought I'd have a go at designing my very own World Cup Kits.

If anyone has done similair designs in the past, or have had a go at designing any other International/Club kits in the past, feel free to post them on here, or comment on these current designs, as they are after all still a work in progress :)

Hello everyone !

My very first post on this forum...

First of all , let me introduce myself...

My name is Razvan and i come from Bucharest , Romania. Like most people in Romania , i first started following football from an early age , but in the last few years or so, i got really bored with football and the business it became , and i trasitioned to rugby, amongst other sports.
What never changed , however, is my passion for sport uniforms ( SKPassion is short for sport kits passion ) and design.
So , with your permission , i would like to show you some fantasy rugby kits i did in late 2013 and early 2014.

Hello.
Today i'm going to show you a fantasy design i made for my favourite team, Dinamo Bucharest.

tumblr_o15imfN6AH1u624hjo2_r1_1280.jpg

Home kit is very classic, simple red and white hoops. I didn't use the current logo of the team , but the original one , from 1948 ( the red D).

For the away kit i used two shades of red and a "harlequin" style pattern , just like the one Dinamo used in the 70's and 80's ( see the picture below).

The alternate kit has more of a rugby league style.

Some details:

@SKPassion I really like the All Blacks home kit, but not so sure the extra pattern detailing would be liked by some All Black jersey traditionalists.

Really like the England away kit too, always loved that regal colour for England. But not sure about the colour stripes on the England home kit, they look a bit like a French flag.

Good to see the hoops being favoured for your club side. I suppose I am a 'hoop on rugby jersey traditionalist' by preference.

Excellent work though!

@Mumbles119 .

Thank you for your kind words. It's nice to see someone enjoying my designs.

You are right...you'd probably never see a traditional pattern on an AB shirt , but ...hey...it's a fantasy kit:)...

" But not sure about the colour stripes on the England home kit, they look a bit like a French flag."

They're supposed to be navy blue and red , just like in that small picture in the right corner wich served as inspiration. They fade into a more royal blue shade because of the light hitting the jersey :D. What can i say ,my skills weren't all that great 2 or 3 years ago.

" Good to see the hoops being favoured for your club side."

Wouldn't have it any other way , you're not the only 'hoop on rugby jersey traditionalist' :).
Plus they use red and white hoops in real life as well.

Cheers !

I like the designs of all the jerseys, wouldn't mind seeing a wallabies one! ;)

@Millsy

I'm glad you like them mate.
I'll give the wallabies' jersey a try, but it's gonna take some time.

Well done, mate. The NZ home jersey could be the Maori ABs jersey. Can you create a Pumas jersey? (Argentina)

I'd to see these jerseys made by you:

Argentina
Jaguares
Australia
Waratahs
Reds
Brumbies
Crusaders
Chiefs
Blues
Stormers

OMG...that's 6 or 7 months of work right there :)))).

Thing is...i allready started designing for some of the teams on your list ( Jaguares- i have an idea only for the black kit at the moment ,Chiefs , Blues - retro style kit and Australia- will be my next design, because i allready promised @Millsy ). And these designs take time for me, they don't come over night, so it will take a while until you'll see them here.
Anyways...sure i'll give the Pumas shirt a try...i'm always down for a classic hooped jersey.

Cheers !

- I know the away it's shocking ...but i just couldn't help myself...i've been wanted to do a aboriginal style shirt for so long:). I even considered doing a 7's shirt like that instead of an away one.
- I realise the Wallabies would probably never wear such a shirt...but it's a fantasy design...and let face it...none of my designs will become actual shirts...

Hope you like it.
Cheers !

Like the home quit. Having said that....

Absolutely, categorically, no. Simply no. Not clear? NO!

Australia's home kit is not bat at all btw.

PS: happens to be quite similar to a 1st division football team that most people hate. No joke!

Well, i'm sorry you don't like it , but at the same time you're not wrong for saying that... it does look like a Boca's shirt ( i'm guessing that's the team you're reffering to) and i was always aware of that . But ... i have to defend my choices a little bit here :

- I seem to remember a black away kit with a light blue hoop your country used to wear in the late 90's or early 00's . I hope i'm not mistaken...

- Gold is , at least according to wikipedia your country's 3rd official color ...and most important a gold shirt would clash with Australia's home kit. Sorry, but i hate it when nike makes the pumas wear their clash kit against the wallabies. There's no reason for that , other than nike wanting to showcase the away kit ...

But like i said before , i can't deny the Boca resemblance...thank god i didn't use royal blue :) ( because it was part of one of my test drawings). What can i say...i take chances with my away kits... as you can see from my previous posts ...there's a rugby league style V chevron on Scotland's shirt , a grey shirt for Ireland and the aboriginal shirt for Australia.

p.s. Haven't had the time to finish the whole design , the same way i did with the Australian kit ( with details and explanations i mean) ... but this is a minimalistic first draft for the backside of this shirt:

14591751_1276189349067550_6587545900056816146_n.jpg

Hope it takes away some of that Boca vibe you felt before...

Hi @Jaguares.

I'll change the away a little bit , when i have some free time. It does look too much like a football kit.
But in my defense...it was not my intention to make a "boca" rugby kit ( i explained above what my reasoning was)...it just turned out this way.
