Playing devil's advocate i think he has a point. Regardless of the facts (which of course are on your side), isn't there a big chance the media could spin that against them? Picture a foreigner wearing a suit and an expensive contract as the RSA coach. Next to it, a picture of 20-30 "insert relevant minority here" unemployed people in cues for social welfare. Tag line: we cannot afford to care take care of our people but we can pay foreigners to buy tailored suits and premium cars.

I can see how that could end up being a marketing nightmare.
