Heineken Champions Cup 22/23 - Round of 16

Rough ending for Gloucester but, like the commentary said, that's the best they've played in a long while
To come that close against the European champions after losing to a 14 man Newcastle the previous week is a big step up

That ending hurts. Rugby can be cruel.

workaholics fer sure GIF

As a Gloucester fan myself, the hurt will last all week.

Poor from Tommy Wyatt. Really not sure why Hodge isn't starting this one.

Good to see Langdon and playing well though.

Too easy for Montpellier, this could be a blood bath

Forgot Stooke was at Montpellier too - Langdon, Thomas, Stooke, Mercer
Weird to see a strong English presence in a French side/pack

Frost has come out of the wasps debacle very well - 3rd choice at Wasps to now starting for Chiefs, and his form has skyrocketed with the increased game time

That should've been a yellow, clear change in height
Then again Mercer very upright which is a big thing in their rulings these days

I don't think he could go low as there was a tackler in front of him.

What do I know haha

There's a clear precedent that if you can't go low because the tackle is already being made then you don't join the tackle.

Can't just tackle the head because it's the only part of the carrier visible.

A person can't just disappear. Stewart didn't make a tackle yet got sent off

Just to make it clear I want the Chiefs to win. Just felt it was a soft red

Now that looked like a high shot on Simmonds. But will need to see a replay

Nah, just got smashed in the ribs
