After a glittering career Denis has decided to call it a day after the WC.

Great player - could have achieved more without the injuries i reckon.

Pretty impressive scoring ratio too. Should improve on that in the WC.
 
As good a player as he is/was his career will be undermined by his hissy fit after not getting selected for the Lions 6 years ago. Think it took the injury in the world cup to give him the slap in the face he's needed to bring his form back to what it had been in the last few seasons.
 
A bit young to be retiring at 31, especially given he lost a year to the Achilles injury but if his heart's not in it it's time to go.
He was a great player for Leinster as his try count shows. Leaves the door open for Kearney/Fitzgerald to stake a claim for Leinster and Trimble for Ireland.
 
Just read through the article there again.....are they saying that his scoring rate is better than anyone else?
