I'm sure some of you came across this in the paper over the weekend or on reddit but it is an absolutely brilliant article and a fascinating and intelligent insight into one of the amateur era's greatest players. He also puts the commitment and risk of today's professional players into perspective with few words, definitely worth a read if you have 20 minutes spare.

A good read.
I was a boy at Twickenham that day he made his debut, stood on the terrace and was too short to see much of the game, but I remember the comments after the game about Gibson's play and he became a hero of mine from that day.
