Nacewa is a good, but he's not the second coming. No matter what the Irish media tell you otherwise. Just like the English media with Ashton.

Or for that matter, what the Welsh media tell you about anyone.

I am not saying he is going to be the "second coming." All I am saying is he is a quality player, capable of brilliant moments and is solid in most areas.

Most people here have underrated the Reds completely, others, only slightly.

Some truths:
1. When the Crusaders played the match against the Sharks in London all the London media (from the UK news I read) were openly admitting the Crusaders were the best provincial team in the world and that they'd beat any NH opponent.
2. The Crusaders are chock full of All Black's, whom are also the RWC favourites. The Reds have beaten the Crusaders the last three times they have played them.
3. Leinster's best player two years back was Rocky Elsom. Rocky wouldn't make the run-on team for the Reds on current form. Currently many are saying he's not good enough for Australia. If Leinster rates this guy so highly then maybe their quality of forwards isn't as strong as Leinster fans think it is?
4. Quade Cooper and Will Genia are playing on another level at the moment. Leinster wouldn't have a chance at stopping these guys. You'll find out all about this in September.
5. Brian O'Driscoll is getting past it and wouldn't probably match the muscle and enthusiasm of the Reds mid-field (Faingaa and Tapuai).
6. Nacewa is a 7/10 Fullback at best. Queensland's best fullback is Luke Morahan, whom was injured for the final. This guy will be playing for the Wallabies in September. Think Christian Cullen and then imagine him wearing a Reds jersey.

After watching some Youtube clips (I didn't follow the Heineken Cup 2011) I can see that the Leinster team is a great team. I believe the Reds would do them though as the Reds produce magical football that no-one can defend against. Ask the Kiwi's on this forum and see who they rate, which is something considering their own self-assuredness and unwillingness to vouch for Aussie teams.

Watch both games vs the Auckland Blues (one is a semi-final), watch the games against the Cheetahs, Bulls, Stormers and Crusaders. Leinster would beat them. But I think the Crusaders might beat Leinster. I think it would be really tight at the top between say Leinster, Leicester, Crusaders, Reds, Warratahs, Stormers, Northampton, munster. I think it would be a pretty even balance of NH/SH wins

To be honest I hope Leinster are as strong as many on this forum are saying. This can only be good for Irish Rugby.

I like watching the Irish play and usually support them when they are playing, except against the Wallabies.

I've always wondered why, for a strong rugby nation, the Irish have never beaten the All Blacks. How is this record viewed in Ireland? I was surprised when I found out that the AB's have only ever lost one test in Ireland and that was against Australia in the '91 RWC. England, France and Wales have beaten the AB's so why not the Irish?

What's going on boys?

The fact is that that the last 12 years or so have been something of a golden age of Irish rugby. Prior to that the national team was pretty poor in truth. We were by far and away the least successful of the original five nation teams and the All Black's stat just goes to illustrate that. We'd also only beaten South Africa once before the 00's but luckily we were able to add another 3 wins to that in the last decade.

As for actually beating the All Blacks, I'm sure it will happen sooner or later. We were able to get a lot of infastructure in place following the upsurge in popularity in the game over the last while so with any luck we won't be putting out teams as poor as 90's Ireland for a long while yet. I thought if we had gotten to play the All Blacks in 09 we could have taken them, but that's just the way things go. It'll happen sooner or later anyway.

Aw, I think you shouldn't be too hard on them. I know if the Stormers ever win anything I'd be sure to get a jibe in here and there. ****, Sharks are probably going to win the CC this year so we'll have to hope for better luck on the injury front next year and make a few good signings in the meantime.

How do you know if someone has been supporting the Reds for a long time or not? Who's to say whether someone has just jumped on the bandwagon this season or has been a life long supporter?

I think that most Reds supporters have been there through thick and thin. Remember that the Reds were a joke only a few years back and this is probably why their supporters are so proud of what they have achieved. I don't think the team, coach or supporters have been arrogant at all this season. We remember how much it hurts to lose and how easily a team can go from winners to losers. The majority of Reds fans are simply savouring the moment. We've copped it all season from the Kiwi's telling us we're not good enough to win and that the Blues and Crusaders would beat us. The Reds reply was to beat both teams twice this season. Celebrating this is not arrogant, it's being proud of our team.

This could all change next season if key players like Cooper leave the team. Fingers crossed this doesn't happen but nothing lasts forever so savour the moment when the times are good.

Stadium attendances would certainly suggest otherwise.

Lets be honest, the biggest factor in the Reds season was the new format. They got to play the bottom teams more than the Crusaders or Blues therefore got home advantage. How would they have fared on a wet cold night in Christchurch or Auckland? Probably not that well. The Reds are a good team no doubt, but lets not get carried away here. If the Super comp was in the old format I think they wouldve been a losing semi finalist.

In the rain I think Leinster win, on a hard dry Suncorp then the Reds probably win.

Also TommyRed you are a complete moron for comparing Morahan to Cullen, ridiculous.

Times are always good for the Reds, we had an amazing team three years ago but lack of support from the "Fans" is what killed us.
