Yeah I knew he was adopted but I can't see him being anything but...

Ive never heard the full the story behind this other than that he is a samoan adopted by pakeha an maori family. First time i saw his tatoo i wondered if he was samoan no maori patterns to it but a few years back he added some maori to it.

Hi James, sorry to burst your bubble about Dan Carter, but he has no Maori blood in him at all. Any media reference to this, is completely wrong. I am his 1st cousin and have his family tree details from both sides of his family, dating back to the 1800's. He is from 100% white European stock.

Can you provide it?

Wouldn't you say our family tree instead of his if you were his 1st cousin?. Anyway I've always just hoped he had Maori blood because I'm Maori but I'm sure everyone knows he's straight european, but of what kind is what I'm wondering?

It's always bothered me when people raise the argument that if New Zealand can have a Maori XV then why can't we have a European XV.

My argument is that a European team would be simply exclusive. On the other hand, a New Zealand Irish, or a New Zealand Scottish, or even a New Zealand Celt side would be excellent I think.
