Monty 2010 Ryder Cup Captain

Colin Montgomerie has been named as Ryder Cup captain after being appointed by the Tour Committee yesterday evening.

I always knew Monty's time would come but having heard what the players were saying about Olazabal in the team room at Valhalla, I thought he'd be a shoe in.

Thought it would always be better for Monty to captain in America, with that extra little edge he wouldn't have missed a trick.

The correct choice, Sandy Lyle's time has gone unfortunately. This means that Monty wont become the greatest ryder cup player ever in terms of points, but i would certainly make Europe hot favourites to regain the cup in Wales.
