Moving Abroad A Problem for scottish rugby ?

well the U20 results don't give the whole picture, but it's very indicative here for Scotland, you're right of course j'nuh.
So what Scotland needs is what, a crazy influx of money dropping in 'artificially' that would spring life about all over the nation ? I'm not saying this sarcastically, I'm asking. What would a nation like Scotland need: money from either the government itself, or some millionaire who decides to invest in what he believes is a to-be-profitable project by injecting capital into a club like Glasgow...??..

I think Scotland..as a sporting nation...has been on a massive slide for years. Outdoor sports in particular.

It's not just Rugby (the last time Scotland were good was Hastings and co.), it's also in football. The Premier League used to have many Scots playing...now there are hardly any.

The likely reason for this malaise?...the fall in sports participation. I've heard folk in Scotland say the kids playing parks are empty...games in the street are no longer played. It's a problem here also. Almost in direct correlation with football, the Scottish Rugby team has not been competitive for yonks. The lack of playing pool means they are now importing players with loose ties to Scotland. Sad state of affairs.
