When you hear that the same crew refereed twelve of their games and they got nearly 80% of so called 50/50 calls it isn't hard to see where the league and refereeing maybe played a role in some of these outcomes. That being said the Super Bowl had two things that removed the ref influence
1. The Eagles completely dominated
2. The game lacked many 50/50 calls that could swing the game

All credit to the Eagles, they played a great game and really made Mahomes look ordinary

You toned it down from the games "are" being influenced (your previous comment) to "maybe". You're showing signs of progress, but you're still tin foil worthy. :D

LRZ staying at Jags...for now?

Don't really know the ins and outs of signings etc. - he's signed to their active rosta but I believe that's because it's the off season so everyone is active, and then at.... some point? it splits to practise squad and full squad. Does he become a free agent at that point, like when he was shelved at Kansas, and Jags have to resign him, or does he just drop down to practise squad?

I believe it splits at the start of the regular season, so he can play in pre-season games.

They’re under contract until post season but can be signed to any other teams active roster.

How does Rugby speed match up vs NFL speed?
When you say Rugby speed I'm guessing you mean 15s. If that's the case, I'd say the NFL has faster players, especially at the wide receiver and defensive back positions. But if you include Rugby 7s, I think it's faster than the NFL. Those 7s guys can really fly. I don't have scientific proof, just a guesstimation.

So the NFL has the fastest but rugby has more fast guys, yep that was my take also.

Everyone on the field can run in rugby, not so on a football field.

I don't follow NFL super closely but he's very undersized for a tightend isn't he?
Average height is 6ft4, apparently, and JP is 6ft3 so not a million miles off - though the two TEs drafted in round 1 were 6ft6 and 6ft5

Realistically it's probably because they wanted a Wallaby to make the switch and they know he's not gonna be a WR so they just put him somewhere else they can run a few reps during pre-season before putting him in the training squad for a couple of seasons while wheeling him out for international advertising/broadcasting

Shirt advertising
where sponsor logo(s) appears on front of NFL shirts has never happened.
Why?
And will it happen?

Surprised it has not happed before.

LRZ saying the obvious he's going to give himself another year or maybe 2 trying to make it in the NFL then come back to rugby

Hard to believe he's only 24 I reckon he will come back end of season if he's not made progress and then target the RWC would only be 26 years old by then

Jordan Petaia waived by LA Chargers

Apparently could still be retained on the injured reserves list, but seems unlikely as they've not mentioned his injury (hamstring) when saying they've waived him and he's been replaced in their IPP spot by another Aussie

Wonder if he regrets missing the Lions

Probably, although he might keep it to himself for awhile.
