In Russia, the idea of an annual international tournamentin memory of the Russian Prince Alexander Obolensky, who was born in Petrograd (now St. Petersburg) in 1916, but because of the commi revolution his family moved to England.
It would be very symbolic, if would be the first Obolensky Cup was held in his hometown of St. Petersburg in the centenary year of the prince in 2016 between Russia and England.
And then offered annually alternate host cities, in order to increase the interest of rugby in Russia. It was also better in even-numbered years to conduct Cup between the national teams, but between the odd-numbered between clubs.
This offer Russian fans rugby. Our federation will now know about it. Expect them to action.
