Peculiarities in text

I am seeing some strange characters. Here is an image of what I am seeing

This is not the first time I have seen stuff similar to this. At first, thought it was a Firefox browser problem, but I am also seeing this using IE8 and Safari. I also see it on another computer in a different location running through a different ISP using Firefox

I have also tried copying the text and pasting it into a Notepad file. It comes up the same except for the last odd little "box' character.

Does anyone else see this and/or know what it causing it?

It's a quirk when Jamoola (the portal) and the board talk to each other. Needs a manual fix after the thread is generated.

Thanks. Now that I see what was supposed to be there, I understand what's happening. Its not interpreting the Ascii codes for the "" marks correctly.

I get a similar problem on some websites, particularly the LNR's Top 14 site in French.

Ye its to do with the forum code not understanding the joomla code.
