So both Pietersen and Moore's are gone from their position following their public spat, does seem a tad premature to be but ultimately England seem to have ended up with the right man in one job at least i.e. Strauss.

I thought he was very harshly treated by not being given the captaincy for the Ashes in 2006/07 when he'd led England to a series win over Pakistan the previous Summer, so alebit a bit belatedly he'll get a decent crack at the whip with this tour to the Windies and the Ashes this Summer.

As for coach, well they're going to need to get someone pretty quickly before they leave for the Caribbean. Who'd want the job though?

so no head coach for the tour to the West Indies but Flowers and Neal will assist Strauss in the Caribbean.

In other news Strauss has been confirmed as one day and Twenty20 skipper as well, strange considering he wasn't even in the one day squad for India but right in terms of continuity.
