Idiotic from Roots,
Not saying Chiefs were about to go the length but they were certainly giving it a go
We had pen advantage and that 1 incident took away our chance. So idiotic and deserves a ban.

We lost that game through stupid pens.

Chiefs 49 - Bath Quins Tigers Sarries

Bristol 48 - Sarries Saints Bath Sharks

Sarries 42- Bristol Gloucester Quins Chiefs

Interesting fight for 4th place. Not sure how it will go as possible 20 points on offer i thing we should be safe from Sarries with 1 win and a BP or 2 but Bristol if Bath and Saints put out a weak team to rest for the play offs they could easy knock us to 5th.

We (saints) always seem to lose to Bristol as well. Really can’t remember the last time we beat them. Something about our styles just clashing.

Judging by the information I can find about 20 minute red cards, yet again that didn’t fit the criteria for one.

The referees seem to be using it as a cop out.

@Geordie

Watching the game last night I was wondering who would stay and what the squad/team would look like for next season. As there is no Newcastle thread I thought I’d add it here.

How competitive do we think this team can be?

1 Pouri Rakete-Stones
2 George Turner
3 Elliot MM
4 Rusi Tuima
5 France Molina
6 Max Hicks
7 Sam Graham/ Tom Christie
8 Hoskins S
9 Rafi Quirke
10 Zach Henry
11 Joji Nasova
12 Will Rigg
13 Fehi Fineanganofo
14 Benjamin Elizande
15 Josh Hodge

16 George McGuigan
17 Beocklebank
18 James Harper
19 Freddie Clarke/ Cam Jordan
20 Graham/ Christie
21 Simón Benítez Cruz
22 Brett Connon
23 Brandon Jackson

Then I’m guessing with the gaps from new signings with current players. Will take a while for them to all gel and learn the style of play that Jones want, guessing they should pick up a few more wins next season but will take a couple of years to develop further.
I didnt go to the game, ive totally lost interest, they need to just end the season. And BOY am i glad we're bringing in a defence coach.

As to the above. Yeah, they've clearly targeted a solid experienced premiership lineup with some unknown fireworks in the backs. We've kept on young winger Harrison Obayotinbo aswell...he looks Very good in a poor side. Be interesting to see how he goes in a far better side.

Theres also young Oscar Usher, Oli Spencer and a few young academy lads like Rhys Beeckmans (Centre) Reuben Parsons (Mark Wilson Mk 2), George Bolam (Tall gangly 6) etc who have looked very good in their appearances , and i really look forward to seeing them develop in a better settled side / squad over the next few seasons.

Two concerns:
How good are our front row options in reality?
The key one for me is the 10 shirt. Untill we move on from Connon we're going to struggle.

I feel Tigers not out of the woods
I reckon we could still lose v Saint, Sale and Bath and still get in, but that starts to rely on others.

If we can get 62 points I reckon that saves us

He was, but I don't think it was really anything new - we know when he's good he's good, it's the consistency that's the issue

Reminds me a bit of Rodd, in that regard - when they can scrummage on their own terms they can dominate, but if not they can get twisted into all sorts of shapes

It'll come with maturity/more exposure, Rodd's levelled out a bit - not so many dominant games but nowhere near as many where he gets battered either

True, last 4 rounds will be huge. I'd say your safe from Sarries they are too far behind but Bristol are the worry. We need Bath and Saints to not want them in and go full strength vs Bristol.

I see Olly hartley is back playing and scored a nice try aswell v Leicester.

24 yo, 6'5, 17 stone, nice skills, if he can get a consistent run now, he could still have some say in the England midfield conundrum.

Yeah Sarries need 2 BP wins and Leicester get nothing just to catch up. 1 win should be enough. Also by the last game Bath could well be resting players.

I'd say Bristol have the toughest run in.
