Premiership Rugby 20/21 - Rd 16

Honestly can't remember the last time I watched a team win after having such a **** show at scrum time.

Wiese doing Wiese things
Unfortunately 'Wiese things' are almost as likely to be acts of misplaced aggression or thuggery as they are his excellent ball carrying ...

He pretty much cost Tigers the win today. Bath were unlikely to score until he decided to be an idiot and gifted them the field position that ultimately led to the try.

You know what after years of watching a powder puff pack get beaten up, I will take that misplaced aggression everyday.
Time will help nail that stuff out.
But it's only taken tigers a short while to regain something they lost for like 5 years.

Fair, but he ought to choose his battles a little better. The Mercer grab was the dumbest move of the weekend, despite Spencer's best efforts

Well we had a rubbish weekend.

Wasps held it together for a bit but if your defending against Exeter for 75% game at least in heat, you are going to get undone.

By the end for Hogg's try, we looked like we couldn't do anything.

Interesting thing is when Wasps had chances at set pieces, we made good in roads but passes didn't go to hand. Odogwu has to be at 13 at the moment and maybe put Fekitoa at 12. Can't hurt at the moment.

Also everyone's raving about Hogg's try against a knackered team, but no one's talking about him getting charged down when he had an absolute age to kick the dam thing out haha

Lots of unhappy Falcons fans now. Questioning the style of rugby now and what they actually do in training to be so predictable and ponderous in attack...and unimaginative with the ball full stop.
We dont have a big budget, but we still have some good players and a host of talented young kids in the academy...yet the tactics are awful risk aversion.

Could be worse, you could be Worcester

Welcome to the Club...

We seem to have lost out attacking edge at times but also are strong defence we had going. That European Break literally killed us dead in the water.

I was really hoping that with Robson and Launch return and getting back into things we would see a pretty dramatic turn around.
