I think it's an interesting decision to figure out the tactics for coaching. Blackett much like McCall/Sanderson etc had a fair few years under his boss (Dai Young) to get that level of experience. No doubt thought that Mitchell has been brought in to help guide him.

TC is back from Lions rest as well

Sounds like it's a week too soon for AJ, though - will have a late fitness test to see if he can play but I'm not holding my breath

Does anyone know when anyone selected for the AI squads will have to join up with their test sides?

I'm assuming bubbles are still a thing and they'll probably have to go early/come back late?

In other words, how quickly do our club sides lose their internationals?

Frost's cameos so far suggest he could do a more than adequate job at hooker. Not sure who benches though? You have Cardall and De Chaves who can cover for Gaskell.

Backs are more difficult … Didn't realise Spink had picked up an injury which leaves you with no real recognised centres - or at least none I'm aware of …

So Frost will start and then Senior Academy option of Eckersley.

Second Row - We will most likely play Fifita with Stooke and Cardall which is fine.

Centre - Jesus it's tough, so maybe start Le Booj and one of Simmonds and Gopps. The only other back we have in senor academy is Rekeiti Ma'asi-White or Ollie Hartley. Both not had much experience but same ranks as Atkinson.

Gopperth at 12 isn't really the end of the world, he's probably the best option you've got there - especially to partner Umaga

I Imagine you'll bring in someone on loan to make up numbers/cover depth - Andy Forsyth at Coventry would be a good option, plenty of prem experience

You aren't wrong and his cool head won it for us against Saints. Give him a pen around most locations on the pitch and we have 3pts.

I'd be interested to see who we could bring in tbf. I'd love to raid MLR for someone like Meakes, Giteau, AAC. The other one i'd love to steal is Harry Glover from Stade Francais but he looks like he's starting most games.

I must admit I didn't realise Glover was at Stade or playing 12. Interesting indeed.

As you say though, someone like Bill Meakes would be a very solid bet.

Yh went under the radar but he played a lot of XVs before he joined sevens circuit at Newcastle Uni etc. Meakes is always a good choice but i think he's globe trotting atm.

He's a 13 that is also v good on the wing, it cant hurt his England chances given he can cover both.

Yep. This. He's very handy in the air which we've used to good effect a few times on the wing.

Realistically? Gone, IMO - I can't see Eddie bringing him back in

I'd definitely have him in the mix, though, he's looked great this season

I think you only need 1 of Marchant or JJ - Marchant is playing for the reigning champions, and is 5 years younger.
