Premiership Rugby 22/23 - Rd 5

This game was pretty close for two thirds of the game. Score line flatters Exeter but they deserve the win.

Bristol completely undone not sure how a player trips up the clearing player and his side wins the pen that really shouldn't have been an Exe try but In the context of this game it doesn't really matter
No offside lines because no ruck had formed,
Unlucky for Joyce, and didn't look good cause he did trip over a guy on the floor, but was just an accident/one of those thing when there's bodies strewn everywhere
Bar teleporting away there's nothing the guy on the floor could've done

Did like BOD calling out Joyce for being more interested in complaining to the referee instead of getting back up and hitting the ruck - he still had time to prevent the turnover/penalty

Ill take that! Tbf now with Vermulen Kirsten back and big Dave Ewers, LCD, Schickerling amd van Heerden off the bench theres alot of beef in this team,

Never looked where was Sam Simmonds this game?

That's a harsh call on TOF - he was running directly to the ball, it's just he was running off his wing so crossed paths with the Tigers chaser
They made it sound like he changed his line to run into him on purpose

Bath are unbelievably passive in both attack and D.

You forget how laughably bad J.Ross' discipline is when he's not in the side for a few weeks

Potter rides the tackle extremely well got decked by manu but still had awareness to notice he wasn't held

Hell of a finish by Wiese

Bath's lineout is absolutely pathetic. Quite telling that our best performing player isn't even one of our players.

After that scrum the Glos players are all back in the line whilst half the Bath forwards are still lying on the floor not bothering to get up.

Indeed the Bath affect has happened to OL give it a few weeks.

Yc feels about right, very slight dip but always high in reality and with some force.

Balls dropped by Carpenter in the sun: 0
Balls dropped by Steward in the sun: 100%

What are you feelings on Borthwick?
Bit of an EJ with an immediate turn around but not one for long term success?

Nah. Dudes in his 3rd year as a head coach waaaaaaay too soon to write him off.
Reality is 1st season was good progress, 2nd season was very lucky but good management.
3rd season we have had what 5 players missing for the preseason during internationals.

He's prob learning now how hard it is when players are missing

Needs to bring back the nose scab, it's the source of all his powers
