[RWC2019][Pool A] Round 2 - Scotland vs. Samoa (30/09/2019)

Scotland have 4 quality backs in Laidlaw, Russel, Maitland and Hogg. Darcy Graham looked lively as well. Their centres are pretty average though, they’ll need to be a lot better against Japan.

I think they will be a lot better. The short turn around will be hard but I think they are going to thump Japan.

It'll come down to experience. Though Scotland (in any sport) are known to choke on the big occasions. I think Japan will more so. I might be unfashionable in thinking Japan still have a long way to go. Ireland was their big match. The one they were focusing on.

Not sure how Samoa will respond but I can see them being a tough opponent for Ireland and Japan. Both will need to keep focused.

Scotland did what was required, bonus point as well as keeping the opposition scoreless. Somoa aren't great to be honest, so shouldn't look too much into this result. Japan game will be interesting as they both have similar playing styles.

Scotland will have to kick a lot of penalties to get to 30+ points :)
The result was 34-0, and Scotland scored only 3 points by PG. By the way, the value of Drop-Goal ("Field Goal" would be better) should be increased.

It was sarcasm.

Anyway, Scotland played well I thought and they deserved the win. If teams keep to their structures and not play too loose they can win easily against the islanders.
