Bismarck is out with a vertabrae injury of the sorts, not a dangerous one, but reading his comments it just makes him lose power in his shoulder, so its not like a career threatening injury

It has been said to be similar to Schalk Burger's injury but they said he will be back! It may be a blessing in disquise to rest him for next years world cup!

To be fair, James did make an effort to comeback to SA, but no union can afford to buy out his contract.
There could be behind the scenes negotiations to get him back to SA, that PDV is aware of.

Hopefully Steyn's exclusion will lead to his further inclusion, in which if it does would be a great case of player management

There is some player/coach problem because Ruan Pienaar is leaving the Sharks for Ulster soon but still gets the nod. I don't get it!

I dont understand why Pienaar has been included when he is offski to Ireland either, maybe its a recognition that there are no other international level fullbacks. (PDV did say during the S14 that Frans Steyn was the only international level fullback SA has)

To be fair, Frans Steyn acted like a spoilt brat after PDV acknowledged that he doesn't have the right abilities and maturity to be a good fly-half, and spat the dummy out after he was critized when playing emergency fly-half for the Sharks last year.
It could be a multitude of factors, at the end of the day we can only speculate

He is a scrum half who played fly half for a while them stey came anlong now he plays most 9 and 15, i think he opvers 10 though
