Sports Personality 2010

No. He came 154th, out of 171 riders. He wasn't even the best British rider.

What he did come second in is the 'points classification' which awards you points based on your performances in each stage, and thus aids specialist sprinters who go all out on the shorter flatter stages. But the fact that he couldn't even win this ranking means he wasn't even the best sprinter...

And no one cares about the tour of spain.

EDIT: which sigur ros song did they use? all i remember is non-stop chart drivel, a tiny bit of chase & status for the cricket, and a song by the cinematic orchestra that i can't remember the name of...

Hoppipolla, they seem to use it for everything nowadays

My mistake, not big on road cycling, but some people I mountain bike with are mad on it and I remembered they jizzing themselves during the TdF over him

yeah my oldest mate is mad into his cycling, he gets so excited watching them all going round in the big group... can't quite understand it myself

hopipolla must be the go to tune for the beeb then after all the trails for life as well. still, makes a change from non stop coldplay

Is anyone else shocked that the winner was someone who competes in events broadcast by Auntie?

Cynical? Moi?

seriously bullitt, you could go with that theory for almost anyone, seeing as the bbc broadcast little snippets here and there of a lot of sports..

the only things you don't get on the tv are boxing and cricket... and flintoff and lennox lewis have won in the past decade.
