Oui last weekend. SF Toulon Montpellier Toulouse Racing Bayonne
I'll be watching Toulouse V Bordeaux. Montpellier v Clermont looks promising. I thought Clermont showed signs of mental fatigue v a 2-string Toulon. They haven't rested their key players unlike Toulon. Europe hangover still there I think. I still think Montpellier have the squad and the invidual quality to rattle Clermont at home and with FTD in form they could edge past Clermont.
Bayonne v La Rochelle is the other one to watch. Hope Bayonne stay in the league.

So Bayonne go down, I had not expected Brive to beat SF!

How many of their players will be with other Top 14 clubs? I know Spedding will but Any others?

So from what I understand the quarter-finals will be-
Stade Francais v Racing Metro
Toulouse v Oyonnax

And Semi-finals-
Toulon v ...
Clermont v ...

So Toulon and ASM get the rest next weekend with 1st and 2nd places

Stade and Racing face off in Paris and Oyonnax go to Toulouse in Les Barrages.

Relegated are Lyon and...........Bayonne! even though they racked up 40 odd points, Brive managed to put four tries on Stade to save themselves and Grenoble hung on to lose by 5 ponts to give themselves the point to save themselves!!!

I am sorry that the Basques do not have a team now in the Top 14 but a little part of me says it serves the supporters right for having minds completely closed to Fusion and behaving as they did! Would have preffered a reasonable discussion and then a responsible vote after hearing some proposals............

I feel sorry for the players who love it here, who wanted to stay here and are distraught at the thought of leaving but who cannot survive on Pro D salaries! However, they did not win enough and hat is how rugby goes.....

Sorry to see no Basques teams next season but i thought it was on the cards by the end, Grenoble survive by the skin of their teeth, and we spent an hour in the changing rooms after the game, not the best day in the lives of all those present!!!!!
Hols now for a month and then it all starts again 1st July..............but this coming season its Jake's choices and not what he inherited so he will be tested by all next season, but i think he will come out of it OK, although it may be difficult to find the French speakers, i could have my work cut out next season
