This week it looks very much like all home wins to me although we have a very tough one at home to Clermont, but if we are successful that should put up in top spot which is throughly deserved at this point of the season, mostly contibuted by good worth ethics excellent preparation and some very astute readings by Jake White and his assistants, and of course my own contributions.

Yes, I think home wins all round may well happen, although I'd like to think that Toulouse may scrape a win.
The big match is undoubtedly Montpellier v Clermont which I wouldn't dare predict - notwithstanding the valiant contributions of dear Gaston!
Agen will probably come away with nothing from La Rochelle, and the gap between the two teams in the table will lengthen which will be worrying for SUA.
Pau will be looking at a home win against Brive, who in turn will be confident after having beaten Toulon;
And the Paris derby? If the SF injury list is still long, then Racing will probably enjoy themselves!

One things for sure it will make far more entertaining viewing than either the Premiership or the pro 12.

I personally fancy Brives to win @ Pau, boosted by their last win against the RCT. Otherwise all "home" wins.

Biarritz lost again against USAP, despite a good first half.
The future don't look bright for the BO.
Benoit August was in charge of the team tonight. Eddie O'Sullivan still on his marching orders ?

That is only six losses in the first six games...........there are 24 yet to go and, when Blanco appoints PSA and Lagisquet (where else have they got to go?) it is highly probable, BO will lose them as well!!!

Crisis? What crisis??

teams for tomorrows top of the table clash, FTD injured, and new signing Demitri Catrakilis thrown in the deep end he only arrived last Friday but sure he will do the job and an excellent kicker to boot. Tough game but we have to win this one to prove we are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Four minutes gone and Macheneaud showing why he should have been in the RWC squad!!!

Ditto Plisson!!

yea, also festival of shoulder and high tackle by racing. This wins in top14, in international match it doesnt obviously.

Still, Machenaud out for comotion after shock with Arias.

gave up at 22-13, indeed horrible game. Good intentions of SF, but too many mistakes, and classic restrictive rugby of racing, physical, physical, physical.
Ref did not help to increase rythm, didnt used tmo, but 5 minutes to settle one scrum omg. Waited 35 minutes before coolin everybody off with 2 yellows when he could have after 10 min.
I really hate that bad habit of takin an eternity to make a scrum. Theres a time limit for penalty kicks etc, why not for scrums. Sometime , just to gather the players , ref spends 2-3 minutes. So so slow.

What can anyone tell me about this Macalou guy on the flank for Stade tonight? He was quite impressive. He has a Fijian name, but since he's so young (20, no?) are the French maybe trying to maybe claim him for themselves like Nakaitaci?

Agree about Plisson. He wasn't perfect, but he showed some real flair too.

Macalou is french... born in Paris, and learned rugby in Massy and was in the -20 french team. So he hasnt got any relation to pacific islands.
Also machenaud missed some pretty easy penalties, keepin SF in the game, and Plisson distributed again bad kicks and direct touch.

Oh... thanks for clearing that up for me. I only saw him play for the first time today but, he could be a future French Test star in that case...

.

Nope. French born. African name, not fidjian. No need to claim he is one of ours. Another Nyanga in the making, we also have Yacouba Camara (yes French born as well) at Stade.

And he had an excellent game last night. So did Camille Chat 19 hooker with excellent throwing stats, and who scored a try showing acceleration many centres would be proud of. Haven't seen a hooker with that burst of speed in a while...

Jeez I am so fed up at the sarcasm of that silly little man Dewi bloody Morris.

Surely as we are paying for Sky's coverage we deserve someone better than this idiot?

Has he got something on the producer to still be employed?

Few would have predicted away wins for Brive at Pau (Bravo PAC - post 5 above!!) and Grenoble at Castres.
Pau will be disappointed, home wins being so important as they are unlikely to win many away games, and will be looking forward to the arrival of Conrad Smith.
And Brive? I've watched them a couple of times this season and are a solid, workmanlike team who could still surprise some of the better teams in the Top14.

Two away wins this weekend, Grenoble at Castres 23-31 so Urios is not God after all, Brive turn over Pau 13-18, so me thinks they are goinging to struggle, and Montpellier get a point closer to leader Clermont. Some very dodgy reffing by Mon Lafon, (and i let him watch the WC semi before the game in my office never again) shame about them getting the bonus in the last min but does not make much diffrence to us, another tough game next week v Toulouse but then again there will be no easy games this season home or away. We now await the arrival of the Du Plessis bros, but there is the marriage of Bismark before they arrive, hopefully sometime in Nov.

All results now shown in 1st post of thread for Day 6 Top 14.

It's going to be a long and painful season for Agen.
