Snoop I wouldn't agree with Keatley issue as he needs a year doing back up before he starts at Heineken Cup level so Leinster would need an established 10 regardless.
But agree that IRFU won't let him go and I doubt Sexton is even considering going

Jason Tovey/Matthew Jones and Shaun Connor occasionally as player/coach. We used to have James Arlidge but he went to the English Championship. But Jones is garbage, theres better 10s in the Welsh Premiership than him. Tovey is top notch but I wouldn't mind James Hook aswell!

No, no, no, wouldn't want to drop Tovey but every team needs another good option for 10 and what an option Hook would be! If we were to get Hook (which of course we won't) he could fill in at 15 while Martyn Thomas is out, he can play in the centre and of course at 10, his preferred position. Also Tovey can play all of the positions mentioned. I think it would do Tovey the world of good to train and learn from a player like James Hook who although young is already very experienced. Also it would bring out the best of them both if they were both competing for the 10 spot and with all the matches (Heineken Cup, Magners, LV) and Tovey's tendency to get injured quite frequently Hook would get his chances.

Leicester have supposedly signed prop/hooker Kieran Brookes from Newcastle and are chasing Worcester second row Graham Kitchener.

Don't know what to make of that, does Brookes play TH? That's the only place I can see him getting any time, how much time depends on what Castro and White decide to do. Ed Slater is only on loan, which could be way Kitchener's coming, but I was hoping Slaterr would sign full-time.

I saw Arlidge at a training session recently, he was just walking to the car park as I came in for training myself. I would have said something, but only clocked who it was after he had gone by. Yet to spot Ali Williams.

I'd rather have Tovey at 15 and Hook at 10, but he won't be going to the Dragons. I read his interview in Rugby World today and he says "I wouldn't want to go anywhere else in Wales" when talking about the Ospreys. Looks like it'll be Bath, then. Or Gloucster, but they won't be able to afford him.

I take it its Nottingham that Arlidge is playing for now then? I knew it was but just couldn't remember. Did you speak to him or just saw going by? Seems a nice guy and was a solid player at the Dragons who we should've kept imo. As for Ali Williams you will want to try and spot him quick because he'll be off back to New Zealand soon won't he? With regards to Tovey and Hook, I know that we won't get Hook but if we did then we'd blessed with Hook and Tovey in terms of where they could play so it wouldn't matter too much as they are both quality and versatile players. Hook isn't coming but I can dream I suppose lol
