Transfers Rumours

Lamb is a very frustrating player. He's clearly talented but often falls to pieces. If Northampton can get the best out of him, they'll have a good player. At the very least Roberts and Lamb will increase squad depth which, as we've seen on the Saints recent dire run, they badly need.

Don't quite understand Roberts leaving Scarlets - Him and Knoyle were a good pair of #9s switching between the two
Unless he knows something everyone else doesn't about an incoming player?

I can understand the signing though. It's no coincidence that Saints poor form tied in with Dicksons injury (Quins at home), so to have some options at 9 when the current understudies are clearly undercooked should hopefully steady the ship next year.

I wonder with Lamb if this confirms Geraghty is off to Bayonne or if he's going to be groomed in a different position to outhalf. Lamb is another of those players who I've always wanted to be a huge fan of, but his incredible ability to completely cock up everything he does right when you think he's making that next step then spoils the idea. A bit like Matt Tait.

hes coming home
hes coming home
hes comin
Dwayne Peel's coming home

Having both Peel and Knyole would be brilliant for the Scarlets as they play different styles, but would both suit the Scarlets in different ways.

To be honest, Roberts won't be missed. He's a talented player but has real attitude problems and is, to put it bluntly, an idiot.

Yeah but Scarlets could afford to pay off Peel's contract with pay off from Lyons (has 1 year left on his contract) move to france, which is lookin likely.

Yes its the ever "reliable" source of the western mail, but its interesting to see that they say the Ospreys have signed Joe Bearman from the dragons.... Would rather see Welsh guys playing for us anyways- the likes of Tupuric, Smith etc, they may not be ageing former Allblacks, but they have the potential to be future welsh internationals, so its better their given a chance to develop.

A question for the Irish posters (or anyone who knows) who was the rugby journalist that predicted the Peinaar move to Ulster and some other big moves? I know Gerry Thornley usually predicts the Irish squads correctly and Hugh Farrelly is quite good but I didn't know whether it was either of those.

Why why why why why have we bought another ageing foreign back-rower (with no disrespect to George Stowers). With Collins and Holah (rumoured) leaving, its a perfect opportunity to blood our promising youngsters (Tupuric,Smith and co). Its just so frustrating seeing as buy players that are gonna start earning their pension rather than give our guys a chance to develop and create strength in depth for our national side. ggggrrrrrrr
