Other names to appear in the "mill" are Adam jones......definately off to France as is AWJ and possibly Ryan Jones, Stowers unlikely to be extended. while at the Scarlets they will battle to Keep JD2 and fail but will keep North.

I've heard that Adam has signed on to the O's for three more years.

The Irish Independent is reporting that Ulster have contacted Northampton's Roger Wilson about rejoining them. The Indo is much maligned but it's the paper that broke the BJ Botha to Munster, Damien Browne to Leinster and Jamie Hagan to Leinster before anyone else got a sniff of it. They also say Castres are after him.

Other Ulster rumours are that they're back in the hunt for Tommy Bowe (as are Leinster), Pedrie Wannenburg is off to some club in Paris and Simon Danielli is being shipped out. Wilson and Bowe for Wannenburg and Danielli would be a terrific bit of business.

There's another rumour floating around about another possible signing at 8, who'd blow Wilson out of the water and I really hope it happens, to the point I don't talk about what I read in case it propogates, journos get hold of it, and the potential deal goes pear-shaped. But it would be insane and frightening for everyone else.

Interesting to see who else Ulster goes for, there's a lot of contracts expiring but most of them players I think we'd wish to keep - can't see there being a lot of movement, maybe just a few players promoted. There's also a few players who went away for uni who should be finishing their degrees, will be interesting to see whether they're brought back.

Can play 8 as well. Plus Ferris goes missing a lot. Plus who cares, they would scare people shitless.

Maybe they should pay players the market rate. If they can't afford to on the back of hosting a World Cup, they must be doing something wrong. I find the NZRUs protestations pathetic frankly.

Kaino is primarily a 6 but as has been said, Ferris misses a load of game time throughout the season and both could be accomodated in the backrow in big games. Also with rugby now becomming a 23 man game, you need strong impact replacements- In European club rugby, Toulouse, Clermont and Leinster best illustrate this.

Just imagine Kaino and Ferris on the same team sheet... especially when the team sheet could also have the likes of Bowe, Pienaar and Afoa on it. I hope this comes off for next season as then I'd be able to pop down the road and watch them before I foxtrot oscar back to sunny england.

As for rumours a bizarre one that has come off a good source is Schalk Brits to Bath.... no idea why he'd do it etc and it seems fairly unlikely to me that it would happen but it would make the happiest man in the world.

The Torygraph is saying Northampton are on the verge of signing Luke Narraway to replace Ulster bound Roger Wilson.

Ulster are on the right track. I said a couple of years ago that they were primed to move ahead of Munster in the Irish provincial pecking order. I think next year will be the year they do just that. David Humphreys is doing a brilliant job rebuilding that squad, focusing on top imports to bolster their starting XV and younger players being blooded slowly in the Pro 12.

That's a good signing for the Dragons if true. He'll be seen as a 12 I think. Anything to bolster their pitiful midfield (apart from Ashley Smith, but he's always injured) is good.

Now they need to sign a decent prop or two and a second row with more ability than Rob Sidoli (who I can't believe is still playing regional rugby).
