Ferris won't be fit enough.
Or Ludik, or some other full-back... or stick Olding there, or stick Gilroy there... my assumption is that Payne wants to play 13, and that the way things are it'll be a mess if he doesn't, so ship him out and find a new 15.

I prefer Henderson at 6, we could sign and IQ second row and play Henderson in the backrow
I agree, but I'd imagine Schmidt will want Henderson to play second row, as Ireland aren't exactly loaded with locks.

If Ulster really want a secondrow (although I think Henderson is coming good there) surely Mick Kearney would be worth a look.

Mick Kearney is under contract at Connacht, no? Worth looking at when he's not, but that's in the future.
Nothing against how Henderson is coming on as a lock - but right now, we need him at both lock and 6. Since he can't be in both places at once, ideally Ulster need to sign someone in one of those positions who is at least his equal.

When he arrived he was going well but then had some horrific injuries, when he came back he seemed somewhat scared. His tackling really let him down missing five in one match and making less. Again made a decent start to the season before disappearing down the pecking order. Looked ok against Ulster though when he reappeared. Has had some pretty good games for the A's displaying exceptional hands which he has yet to fully transfer to top flight level.
So basically more wasted potential than solid. Rumour is he'll be going to Western Province for the Curry Cup but whether it's full time or on loan can't be decided by anyone.
Yeah sorry was thinking more long term. Think he's one year left on the deal.

Johan Goosen, Cheetahs -> Racing Metro (Three year contract).
As an Irish fan I'd be happy with that giving Sexton a real alternative, worrying for SA rugby though if he goes as a young potential first choice player.

Better pay, better team. Leaving SA won't impact a players ranking for the national side, so it's not detriment.
