Tsunami hits Pacific Islands

Pretty sad news yesterday morning hearing there was a tsunami that hit Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga. It reached here in New Zealand only in Whangarei right up north but most of it had dissipated so it was just a little tidal water.

Hope all our pacific brothers and sisters are doing alright it's very tragic what has happened even David Tua our boxing legend has been affected with the passing of one of his auntys in the tsunami so our thoughts and love go out to all his and the all the people of the pacifics family and friends.

Second earthquake in Indonesian (?) city Sumatra twenty-four hours after the first, 'n' all. What a terrible day to live in south-east Asia.

Also, death by tsunami has to be the most terrifying ever.

Absolutely, the force and power of a tsunami is frightening. Hopefully the death toll doesn't rise.

There has been a few major earthquakes in that part of the world, has a scientist of some sort commented on it? The one that hit the south tip of NZ recently was also very high on the Richter scale.
