That sounds about right. My buddy went to the superbowl last year and it cost him $10k for club level, which includes nothing free. Just access to nicer lounges.

RWC31 won’t be that high, but it will be expensive.

I expect lounge access tickets to top $15,000 per person.

FIFA is calling it a major success. I have no idea if it was the best. I didn’t watch it. And I’ve never watched a World Cup. Impossible for me to compare.

To be fair social media has been flooded with European stories raving about US culture, Erling Halland became an actual cowby and brought home stuffed roadkill lol.

I think this world cup will be remembered as the first where FIFA went full 'money me, money me now, more money, money.... money'.

They were of course always up for sale, and i fully expect there to be a 64, then 96 team tournaments, spread over continents over 10 weeks at some point, and the people will still pay, still complain, and nothong will change.

What my feelings on a RWC are clearly going to be different to my feelings on a football World Cup where Wales haven’t qualified. To be fair even if wales qualified for this WC it doesn’t hit the same as rugby as I love rugby. Sadly rugby is played by like 10 countries in the world.

It’s one of the many reasons football is far more popular, mismatches in football are more entertaining as football always has a surprise up its sleeve. Rugby less so.

What my feelings on a RWC are clearly going to be different to my feelings on a football World Cup where Wales haven’t qualified. To be fair even if wales qualified for this WC it doesn’t hit the same as rugby as I love rugby. Sadly rugby is played by like 10 countries in the world.

I refused to go to Qatar, but was at all Wales games in 2016, that rivalled the 2 world cups ive been too (not quite the 2013 lions tour), i would have gone to usa gladly, but not sure if i would have shelled out for tickets.

2023 rwc tickets cost us 60 odd euro each, went to a number of neutral games for cheaper, was a great experience at a very reasonable price, especially co.pared to this world cup

Of cpurse a lot of it would be influencers being paid, i saw a thing about cracker barrel, from a fitness influencer lol.

Wouldnt surprise me if state sponsors were involved also, China and Russia do similar, why would USA be any different?
