What do you want from TRF?

Think I'm the same as alot of the new peeps on here. I've never been a member of a forum before, I only joined to get info about rugby 2012, But I've been really interested in other parts of the site aswell. Thanks to the admin staff for all the good work!!!

For me be nice for the new members to contribute to other areas of the forum and not purely to come onto the forum have their say on Rugby'12 and then go away, be nice for the new guys to at least give something back for having the latest news on the game.

There needs to be more scrum control, especially where the front row is concerned. This also goes for rucks. If Andrew Sheridan is up against some Itallian winger in the ruck I want to personally see the difference in power, size and aggression. This goes for THE WHOLE CONTACT AREA. Lineouts should have a 'creat your own setpiece' type scenario like in Fifa where you can make free kick set pieces. Rugby has a real opportunity to succeed here making your own set pieces as it is more relative to the game in rugby than in football. A perfectly articulated back line move from the scrum could set up a perfect try WICH SHOULD BE ABLE TO BE RECORDED. However these should not work 100% of the time. If i make a perfect move and it works 100% of the time it pretty much takes away all the satisfaction of it. Try's should have more ways of putting the ball down, maybe like Fifas celebration system, but no actual celebrations are neccecary for this game. Back to the scrum and player size issues, i would like to see a terrific front row dismantle an inexperienced front row, perhaps cause some injuries and penalties. In create a player, you should be able to create a wide range of body types such as the nimble but solid quade cooper to the wide, muscular Hulk that is ma'a nonu.

Yeah, sort it out Matt.

Wrong thread. Go and put this in the Rugby 2012 section.

Many improvements in this version, especially not beeing disconnected if a bit long while writing a message, great facility.
Like 6N or 3 nations comps, might it be usefull to create new (temporary) file for international test sessions (like now in june, and in December), as it's easier and more quickly to scan relatives topics to this actuality

Lost personnaly all my bonus reputations pts (many proudly won in predictions comps !) in the update, is it possible to recover them ?

Yes I like this forum, if rugby 2012 comes out there should be mods for the game too

I like the new style a lot, it's more user friendly and more potential then the old site.
A minor remark is that due to work I couldn't visit the site often this year and I only noticed recently that my friends list has been lost in cyberspace.
But besides this, keep up the good work.

Unfortunately not.

Here's how I think the banner at the top of the page should look, just a little more streamlined. Font is just something I picked at random as I don't know what font is used in the current logo.

I haven't read the whole topic here, but on the issue of too many forums on the front page, why not make some of them sub-forums?

e.g. in the "Club and Provincial Rugby" section, just have the two parent forums Northern Hemisphere (with sub-forums of Heineken & Amlin, Guinness Prem, Magners League, Top 14 & ProD2 etc) and Southern Hemisphere (with sub-forums of Super 14, Currie Cup, and ITM Cup).

That will cut the size of your front page down with no loss.

TRF Porn. As a married man and respected member of society I obviously can't have anything to do with it, but I hear that this world wide web pornography thing can generate a lot of revenue.

We're going to revamp the forums based off this thread.

on a serious note, members should be able to link their profile with Facebook and MySpace. Currently we have the option of putting up our AIM, ICQ, MSN info, but let's be honest, everyone is on Facebook and some are on MySpace or even Bebo. I think helping to link us more with other social outlets will further increase relationship building within the forum community. I know that I talk equally with my circle of forum people on facebook as I do here on trf. Just a thhought

See the facebook connect button at the top of the page and it will allow you to link your accounts and post things you like etc...

For the record, I am deleting any Rugby 2012 comments like "I want to see screen shots and videos of the game" because that's no help to us at all.
