Since I dont have the game anymore can someone send me a clean roster (ie one that hasnt been tampred with at all) and the rdf file of that clean roster (push set to defaults) and ill see whats going on there.
someone could just give me their rdf and roster that is playing up as well, just to see what the problems are.
and yes i am too lazy to do that thing for global edit. though some people would say that i work alot. i didnt get to bed til 2am last night cause of work

Regarding the global edit bug. I've checked the files and it seems the
only thing that is changed when I do a global edit is that rdf file is created in the root directory. None of the other files seem to be modified at all (judging by their "last modified" time in Windows Explorer), and if I delete the rdf file the roster reverts back to the initial EA default roster. I'm not sure how that works (how does the game know to look for that file??), but obviously it has some effect! I will save the EA-default roster from the game and also I will use the same default roster and "set as defaults" and send you the mucked up rdf file.
God I'd really love a global edit feature.
My idea is that you could reset every player to a "default" set of statistics for their position (slow, strong props etc). Then you could modify them by team to represent various team strengths and weaknesses that are not accurate in the game (Italy stronger in the pack and bad handling in the backs, for example), and then lastly you could go through and edit individual "star" players for each team to make them unique and stand-out a bit more (or weaken some players who have obvious weaknesses).
I would have though it would only require a couple of drop-down lists to select position and nationality and then some kind of IF-statement in the formula that loops through the roster records to make sure only players of those nations and teams are changed. I have no idea though. Hehe.
What language is the editor programmed in? I could possibly have a crack at adding those global edit features myself. I've a basic understanding of Java and C#. It would make a huge difference to roster editing.
Anyway, I'll get those files onto you in a few minutes....
Oh ... one more question ... do the actual "team statistics" (for scrummaging, etc.) have any effect on performance on field, or are they just for show?
